hello again

just about to start on top bedroom - have done list of things that will need to be done over the next couple of weeks - quite daunting but several friends have offered to help - thank goodness.

photo below is of my three children when we spent a very pleasant weekend in Barcelona before any thoughts of subsidence was in our minds!

said goodbye to last of the three yesterday so no more excuses to start great sort out!

however, am taking time out to see friends over next couple of days, then school work, then essays, then great sort out??

We have had an interesting few days - I was ill over the last couple of days - so Christmas Eve was spent in bed huddled to duvets!!
Felt better Christmas Day so was able to manage lunch with 2 dear people - Ann & Gail. Spent lovely evening with my own three children, which was lovely - had some lovely pressies - i do hope i haven't given them my germs!! Spoke to Family in Aus also.
Looking forward to eating our Christmas meal with them on Boxing Day. Then, hopefully going to see 'Australia' at cinema.

Good News - i do not have asbestos in my artex!! so no ceilings to come down!! hurrahh!!

so now hopefully the piling work will begin in January - i will post photos as it happens.

also school finishes tomorrow and Dawn comes home on Sunday - looking forward to that. then i'm off to London to see Giles and pick Joy and Chris up ready for Christmas.

hi there - this is my first blog so it will be brief!

I hope to record on this the next few months including the work that is about to be done on my house due to subsidence!!

Having noticed a crack in the wall last summer there has been a level of momentum - after initial survey, bore hole with results, then site inspection by builders who are going to underpin and redorate, yesterday i had a visit from an asbestos expert!

i await results - next Wednesday hopefully. if negative then back to underpinning and redecoration, if positive then watch this space!

other news: its my daughter birthday today - so happy birthday Joy! - she is in Edinburgh having a lovely time by the sound of it.
